National Day Special Edition from Indo-Arab Chamber of Commerce & Industries

Here is a sneak peek of the special edition published by Indo-Arab Chamber of Commerce & Industries further to celebrating the National Day of the Sultanate of Oman.

Oman, a nation of rich culture and heritage is governed by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said. He envisioned the progress of the nation in 1970 when he ascended the throne. The objective of His Majesty was nation-building-the nation being represented by the people, the state and society and founded on the principle of security as a basis for prosperity and progress. The journey began with simple steps and now it is a nation with farfetched developments in major fields.

Oman is one of the most developed and stable countries in the Arab world. The government focusses on social and economic growth and development. Apart from Oil and Gas, the country is also progressing in fisheries, agriculture, mining, healthcare and more.

The Sultanate's business policies are based on economic principles of openness to the global market. The public resources are restructured to increase the non-oil revenues to the nation.

Indian companies have a favourable purview when it comes to business in Oman. The two countries across the Arabian Sea are linked by history, culture and geography. Multiple opportunities are available in Banking, Logistics, Healthcare, Tourism, Education and Manufacturing. A warm relationship prevailing between Oman and India brings mutual benefits to the connected companies.

The article also highlighted Oman’s Procurement System for the Oil & Gas Industry, the Joint Supplier Registration System (JSRS). JSRS is a mandatory ‘single-window’ registration system implemented by businessgateways on behalf of the Ministry of Oil & Gas, Oman.
