GOIC Conference to Help Gulf Exporters

Muscat Under the patronage of His Highness SayyidAsaad bin Tariq Al Said, Representative of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and with the participation of GCC ministers of industry, Oman’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting are organizing The 14th Industrialists’ Conference: “Industrial Exports - Opportunities and Challenges”, 30 – 31 March 2014 at the Al Bustan Palace Hotel.
The event is being supported by Ithraa, The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in co-ordination with the Secretariat-General of the Gulf Co-operation Council and the Federation of GCC Chambers.
The two-day conference will focus on promoting commercial relationships between Gulf countries in an effortto help the region’s businesses, particularly small and medium-sized firms, understand and penetrate international markets. The conference will also highlight international best practices and showcase countries that have been successful in building a stronger business export culture.
HE Ahmed Al Dheeb, Under Secretary for Commerce & Industry at the Ministry of Commerce & Industry said: “The Gulf region has companies exporting to some of the world’s fastest-growing markets. This positive experience indicates the huge potential Gulf companies have to grow their export base. However, to achieve that growth they need support and guidance. Indeed, this two-day conference has been designed specifically to analyze the opportunities and challenges that face our exporters.”
