Muscat Management from Ithraa,the government departmenttasked with attracting inward investment into Oman and the promotion of non-oil Omani exports, met with Majlis AlDawlaEconomic Committee members on Wednesday.
With partners from across government and the business community, Ithraa is instrumental in helping drive Oman’s modern and knowledge-driven economy. Speaking on the sidelines of the meeting, His Highness Sayyid Faisal Al Said, Ithraa’s Director General, Marketing & Media said:“We’re witnessing significant economic transformation and developmentacross Oman and in multiple sectors. Wherever you look, bold and innovative changes are being made to make Oman ever more business-friendly and competitive and it’s in this space that Ithraa’s work offers real value to domestic and international businesses.We gave attendees a presentation on the export strategy 2011-15 and the tools Ithraa will be using to assist companies export and penetrate both mature and emerging markets.” Majlis Al Dawla attendees were also briefed on the development of Oman’s inward investment strategy which is to be unveiled later this year.
