OQ Accelerates Oman–Netherlands Collaboration to Catalyse Global Energy Transformation

OQ, Oman’s state energy company, is strengthening its partnership with the Netherlands to drive the global shift toward renewable energy and green hydrogen. The initiative aims to position Oman as a key hub for clean energy, leveraging its strategic location and natural resources. Abraj Energy Secures Major BP Contract and Expands Footprint into Algeria with Sonatrach Deal

Abraj Energy Services has signed a significant three-year onshore drilling contract with BP Exploration (Epsilon) for operations at Oman’s Block 61, valued at approximately RO 14 million. The project will resume using a previously stacked rig and is expected to commence in Q4 2025, reaffirming Abraj’s long-term role in the sultanate’s upstream sector. In a strategic move beyond Oman, Abraj also signed a term sheet with Algeria’s state-owned Sonatrach to deliver integrated oilfield services across North Africa. This dual milestone marks a powerful step in Abraj’s regional expansion and its commitment to energy excellence. Read More

May 12th – 14th – JSRS Going Green Initiative Launched at OPES 2025

Business Gateways International (BGI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Minerals (MEM), launched the JSRS – Going Green Initiative at OPES 2025, held from 12 to 14 May 2025 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre, Muscat.

The JSRS – Going Green Pavilion highlighted how environmental sustainability is being embedded into the supplier ecosystem. The initiative helped JSRS Certified Suppliers and aspiring companies understand their role in supporting the Energy sector’s green transformation and offered insights on gaining recognition for their sustainability efforts.

The collaborative spirit at OPES 2025 emphasized Oman’s commitment to green procurement and inspired suppliers to become active contributors to the country’s sustainable future.

Strategic MoU Signed Between BGI and TOPCO to Boost JSRS Supplier Network in China

Business Gateways International (BGI) and The Oriental Pro-Energy Consulting Organization (TOPCO) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), appointing TOPCO as the designated JSRS Sourcing Partner for China.

This strategic partnership is set to strengthen sourcing capabilities by connecting qualified Chinese suppliers with Oman’s key industries through the JSRS platform, fostering greater collaboration and supply chain efficiency across borders.
