OTTCO and Royal Vopak Sign Strategic Agreement to Establish Joint Venture in Duqm

Oman Tank Terminal Company (OTTCO), a subsidiary of OQ Group, and Royal Vopak have signed a shareholder agreement to establish a new joint venture in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD). Announced during the Duqm Economic Forum 2025, the partnership will see OTTCO hold 51% and Vopak 49%, working together to develop and operate world-class energy storage and terminal infrastructure that supports both traditional energy flows and emerging needs driven by the global energy transition.

By combining OTTCO’s role in crude storage and transport with Vopak’s global operational expertise, the partnership creates a future-ready platform aligned with national economic diversification goals. Read More

OQEP and Petronas Forge Upstream Energy Partnership

OQ Exploration and Production New Ventures LLC (OQEP) and Petronas Carigali International Ventures (PCIV) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore strategic collaboration in the global upstream oil and gas sector. Signed at OQEP’s Muscat headquarters, the agreement aims to jointly pursue exploration and production opportunities worldwide, leveraging the combined technical expertise and operational capabilities of both companies.

This partnership strengthens Oman’s position in the international energy market and supports sustainable growth initiatives. We were proud to participate in the Nomo Riadi 2025 Forum, where the Joint Supplier Registration System (JSRS) was showcased at the Local Content and Added Value Pavilion on 5–6 November 2025 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Business Gateways participated at FED EXPO 2025 in Bhopal, engaging with suppliers and international business representatives exploring opportunities to expand into GCC markets. The event provided a valuable platform to discuss the role of structured GCC Vendor Registration, Oil & Gas Pre-Qualification pathways, and region-specific compliance frameworks in enabling market entry and sustainable growth.

BGI and AmCham Oman Sign Strategic MoU to Strengthen Oman–U.S. Business Connectivity

Business Gateways International (BGI) and AmCham Oman have signed a Strategic MoU to strengthen Oman–U.S. trade, investment, and technology partnerships under the Oman–U.S. Free Trade Agreement. The collaboration focuses on procurement opportunities, cross-border investment, technology transfer, and B2B engagements through digital platforms and networking initiatives.

BGI CEO Hemant Murkoth highlighted that the MoU expands global outreach, enabling meaningful business collaboration, while AmCham Oman CEO Rebecca Olson emphasized creating a bridge for American and Omani companies. Joint awareness programs, trade missions, and digital engagement initiatives will connect U.S. firms to Oman’s certified supplier and investment networks.
