Neuman & Esser (NEA) has signed a landmark contract with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) for the supply of new reciprocating compressors and healthcare of PDO’s installed fleet of reciprocating compressors commencing from the second half of 2016.
The new machines supply contract was signed by PDO managing director Raoul Restucci, on behalf of PDO, and by managing director of Neuman&Esser Italia S.r.l, Carlo Terragni, while the healthcare contract was signed by Restucci, on behalf of PDO, and Managing director of Global Pavilion Saleh AlHabsi. Global Pavilion is the local representative of NEA in Oman. The signing ceremony was attended by Alexander Peters, shareholder and managing partner of Neuman&Esser Group and senior managers of PDO, NEA and Global Pavilion.
As part of the new machines agreement, Neuman&Esser will manufacture, supply, test, install, commission and start-up a fleet of electric motor-driven reciprocating compressors to be installed across PDO’s compression projects.
The healthcare contract covers the aftermarket services for PDO’s fleet of NEA reciprocating compressors, other company compressors and potential new reciprocating compression package awards over the next ten years.
These are the first-ever frame contracts awarded by PDO for the provision of reciprocating compressor equipment and services.
Complete tailor-made compressor packages and solutions, able to satisfy PDO’s requirements, will be assured by NEA Application Centre through technical knowledge and experience in flexible order handling.
NEA Gulf, the local after market and service company based in Dubai, in collaboration with NEA’s local partner, Global Pavilion, will also support PDO’s in-country value initiative by developing Omani service engineers and promoting Omani talent development through training programs.
Neuman&Esser has supported Oman focus on projects to enhance oil and gas production, and has strengthened its partnership with PDO in past years by supplying highly engineered compressor packages and offering local services capability.
