MUSCAT: Occidental of Oman, Inc. (Oxy Oman) signed two additional support agreements with two Omani small and medium enterprises (SMEs) The signing ceremony was held at the headquarter of Oxy Oman under the patronage of the Undersecretary of Ministry of Oil and Gas Eng Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi. Steve Kelly, President and General Manager of Oxy Oman, Said Al Jinaibi -CEO of Manadher Al Sahra Trading & Mattar Al Habsi -CEO of Cadres Oil Tools & Services were signatories for their respective organisations.
To support the Omani government’s objectives of SMEs development to enhance economic growth of the Sultanate of Oman, Oxy has established its own SMEs Development Programme to provide funding to SMEs to achieve sustainable growth, capacity building and sustainable development. Phase 3 of the Programme has been launched in mid of 2015 where Oxy announced 3 categories - engineering services, manufacturing of flanges and tank maintenance. Total of 44 applicants have been received where two SMEs have met the eligibility: Cadres Oil Tools & Services (Manufacturing of Flanges) and Manadher Al Sahra Trading (Tank Cleaning & Maintenance).
