The Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (Oapec) has signed up as a major sponsor for the two-day New Kuwait Summit 2019 which kicks off on December 10.
Confirming its support, the Oapec said it will be sending an official delegation to Kuwait for the two-day summit which kicks off on December 10 at Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Centre, Kuwait.
Hosted under the patronage of HH The Prime Minister, Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah by the Supreme Council for Planning and Development and the Ministry of Information, the New Kuwait Summit will provide Kuwait with a global platform and window to the world to attract discussion and debate around the seven pillars identified by the Kuwait National Development Plan, aimed at transforming Kuwait into a leading regional financial, commercial and cultural hub by 2035.
The Oapec joins a growing list of national and international supporters for the summit, including its official foreign direct investment partners - the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority, global management consultants Oliver Wyman, Kuwait Financial Centre Markaz and sponsors AlYaqout & AlFouzan, China State Construction Engineering Corporation, EY, SkyX, Southpaw, XKuwait, Kuwait Energy, the National Technical Enterprises Company (NTEC) plus many more.
A series of international business partners will also bring their support from across the globe, including the American Business Council of Kuwait, German Business Council Kuwait and the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP).
With a programme led by government and industry leaders and experts, the New Kuwait Summit will be organised to allow international and domestic companies to network, engage and create partnerships, all helping to move Kuwait forward towards realizing its potential.
Over 50 speakers from around the globe will cover; Kuwait's vision and its position in a global context, finance and investment, Silk City, developing the infrastructure of Kuwait, driving a sustainable and diversified growth economy, digitalization and innovation, the development of the health sector, role of oil and gas, human capital and Kuwait's living environment.
