The value marked a decrease of 74.9 per cent over the previous month and a drop of 74.3 per cent when compared with the last 12-month average of $37.66 billion.
In terms of a number of deals, the sector saw a drop of 11.8 per cent over the last 12-month average with 165 deals against the average of 187 deals.
In value terms, North America led the activity with deals worth $5.3 billion.
